Teach middle-school and early high school students (Grades 6-9) to write using the IEW Structure & Style method through assignments that also teach U.S. history - - from Explorers to the Space Race.
This course is designed to be used by teachers who have been through the Institute for Excellence in Writing's Teaching Writing: Structure and Style seminar.
The course moves through the units taught in TWSS, helping students to learn to write from notes, retell narrative stories, summarize a reference, write from pictures, summarize multiple references, write inventively, write using formal essay models, and write a formal critique.
